Use surplus 7.62x51 as the CETME has a fluted chamber and when extracting is very hard on the thinner commercial brass and could have case seperation
Hess has a less than stellar reputation

The Century built CETME's sell for around $500.00 . Hess sells for some less, all depends if it functions or not

Plus, there is surplus 7.62 x 51 available for much less than 308 Win. But I'm a cheap ass.

HK stock sets and optic mounts will fit. You can get lots of parts for these toys. I have $550.00 into mine total w/ lots of upgrades, That includes the Hensoldt Z24 scope and Stanlag mount. Mine was $369.00 a few years ago. Use only 7.62x51 ammo!!

cheaper than dirt is another place that has cheap mags I think they were .99 each. I was also wondering if anyone could help me with this one they have a full auto trigger setup from the original G3's now is it legal to own one of these and if so will it fit my gun? Ok thanks again

Your receiver is U.S. made, no luck on full auto.
