7,62x25mm barrel dent fix

hello all,i have a gun barrel for 7,62x25mm tokarev round, with a dent that goes deep about 6mm into the barrel,i have no clue how this happened,i recieved it as such from somebody.
now ive seen on youtube there are videos on how to fix dents in shotgun barrels, but this is so small of a barrel that method wouldnt work.
ive searched high and low on internet about this, and theres basicaly 0 info.thats why i ask here.
i thought about try to make that place hot so metal gets easier to manipulate, then put something thin down the barrel and push it out,or try to pull the dent out with very strong magnet, and if none of these work,i thought i should then cut that little place out with a saw,or whatever, and bang it with a hammer until it gets flat as it should be,then weld that part back to the barrel,or use epoxy glue.
ive no other ideas.i will post pictures if neccesary
any help would be appreciated
did anybody encounter this problem?

@JonPrT - Welcome to the site. Please wander over to the Introductions section and tell us a bit about yourself. You will also want to familiarize yourself with this thread (it has good information about the site): So yer new here, huh?, and this thread (our community rules): FirearmsTalk.com Community Rules.

Pictures always make these kinds of issues easier to work with.

I am not a gunsmith, but your planned approaches do not make sense to me - cutting a barrel and then welding it back together or using epoxy are great ways to injure or kill yourself when you fire it. So too with heating the barrel enough to manipulate it. My suggestion is to find a qualified gunsmith to assist with this.

Applying heat to the barrel may not be the best idea. You will lose the temper it has.

I would look at the idea of cutting the barrel, recrowning, and (if needed to keep legal length) adding a flash suppressor or such.

i would cut the barrel off behind a dented area to do away with it,if it werent for the fact that dent is located at the very beginning of the barrel.and it is a long barrel, not of a pistol.
would a magnet method work?
Jon, I see you are in Serbia. I would say you need to find out if what you want to do is even legal there.
I see thousands of Serbians demonstrating against all the guns and crime in the streets lately.
Just be sure you are legal in your attempts.

while serbias gun laws are strict, theres nothing illegal about owning a gun or fixing a barrel dent,in spite of all recent crimes and demonstrations.and serbians are politicizing crimes that happened, certain political parties using them to protest against regime.serbians always protest about everything and blame vucic...

so i just wanted to see whether theres DIY solution to this before taking it to a gunsmith or changing the whole barrel
Post a picture. Most likely the barrel will need to be replaced if it cannot be shortened.
yeah il probably just replace it,since i dont see a way to save it,so this thread can be closed.thanks all for ur insights
i dont know , i was kinda sold on the Elmers Glue strategy
How difficult is it to get another barrel?
