Remington has some actual calibers named after it.. that name ought to be Gold even now..
I will wait to put my bid in until after the election.
If I bought it do you think I could score some 9MM?
Remington is probably suffering from the same fate of other old established businesses. People buy the company and come in and immediately suck all of the value out of it and then throw what is left in assets, physical and human, on the street for sale.
Then there is that lawsuit with the school shooting that coats a pretty penny or two.
What was this? Some lawsuit claimed the ammo was to blame, or some such?
Not that it should matter to a firm acquiring certain assets of another firm, though. I'm guessing, but I suspect it's a purchase strictly of the trademarks, patents, machinery, inventories and customer lists; leaving all liabilities and other thorny problems in the hands of Remington.
Plus the assumption of liabilities. Hm. Am surprised. The new investors must feel they can pay down those liabilities with the turnaround plan. Good for them, if they can do it.
