I would go 7.62 also that way if you get a 308 you can use it on that gun too.

Advanced Armament Corp, has a couple nice cans in 6.8 http://advanced-armament.com/ I agree with JonM though, get a quick detach .30 cal can and you can bounce it back and forth from host to host. Just about anything 30-06 and smaller.
