Was wondering what's the best way to care for the stocks on these? Just bought it and want to take best care possible of it. It is in great condition so don't want to strip it or rebuild it. Any info would be great! Thanks!

You can wax it with some Beeswax once in a while. That should do it just fine.

Thanks! I have been searching around and hearing Murphy's oil soap, tung oil, linseed oil, etc. but it sounds more like for stock refinishing? I just want to take care of it and maybe bring out a little shine. I like to take care of all my little friends! Lol

You can use Murphy's to clean it. It's surprising how dirty a stock can get. Just dry it well, then wax it. Rub it out really well and it will have a nice luster without being shiny.

My pleasure. Enjoy that old stick!

BTW, I've got a 336 from 1961. You can't beat a good old Marlin levergun.
