5.56 vs. .223

    I have been noticing that alot of the civilian tactical rifles are chambered in 5.56 and .223. What is the difference between the two.calibers, like in balistics?

    5.56 is a higher pressure round than the .223. You can fire 223 in a barrel designed for 5.56, but you do not want to fire 5.56 in a barrel designed for .223.

    5.56 is what real operators use. .223 is a much weaker round and isn't as good at killing terrurists. FYI Call of Duty uses guns chambered in 5.56. There's a reason for that.
