Why this .45 acp to .460 Rowland has not caught on like wildfire evades me! For under $300 you can have the power of the .44 Mag. in a lighter recoiling higher capacity semi-auto! This and not lose the ability to shoot .45 acp as well. I personally would never consider shooting as noble a creature as a white-tail deer with my .45 acp 1911 but will not hesitate next season with my .460 Rowland. Pressure for the .45 is 21,000 for the Rowland 40,000 it becomes a totally different gun!

It's a very easy conversion. It makes a very nice walk-about gun with enough power to ensure your safe passage.

Because for an $18 spring you can shoot .45-Super thru your .45acp pistol...
unless itsa Glock, then you add in a Lone Wolf supported barrel.

    Regular runs around 1100 FPS w/ 230-gr.
Warm loaded .45-Super runs around 1275 FPS...
and the Hot stuff gets you 1350 with a 230-grain bullet.

Aaaand, you don't need special brass for it like you do with the Rowland.

    .460 Rowland
185-gr. Underwood HP runs around 1575 FPS
230-gr. Underwood HP runs around 1400 FPS
255-gr. Underwood HC runs around 1300 FPS
And I can still shoot .45 acp
