Good read indeed,just to bad the criminal wasn't shot on his first robbery attempt.He'll recover do sometime in jail then be back on the street,only head shots count.

Well, something went wrong with the last thread on this subject, so here it is again, back from the dead. Is 45 acp enough bullet to take down a whitetail with? Does anyone have any experience with this? I am looking at trying my luck with handgun hunting. I know that the 45 will work wonders on a human body and most deer usually are about the same size.

Ok , I am just an old farm boy who's done a helluva lot of huntin and shootin , so please don't take anything I say as Gospel . But , in regards to .45acp and Mr. Whitetail ,, Hell Yes it will do the job ! ,,With these caveats ,,
I used a Marlin Camp gun and kept my range to 50yds max , now with a handgun I just don't know , you better have a good hot heavy bullet , be a Dang good shot , and keep range as tight as possible . Because you will want that good heart-lung shot for sure.
