Walmart about $200-225. Save your brass and reload it for about $125/500 rounds.

I ordered some elcheapo Silver Bear 230gr FMJ in steel cases (non reloadable) the other day for $155 with about $15 more for shipping. I will say, the copper coating on the lead looks reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaly thin. The steel cases are zinc-plated though. I will run some this weekend, but i spect it will be fine for range/emergency use.

Ordered it from Bulkammo.com and was happy with delivery speed and packing.

I take it you are loading cast for that price. I think I am loading for $8 a box (so 80 for 500) I get mine cast by a local guy so I am saving sales tax and shipping. Bulk primers and powder whenever I find a good deal

I've been getting Federal at Wal-Mart for $29.96 per 100. That would be $150 for 500.

Cost is certainly a factor; a calculator makes it easy.

There are quite a few out there, here is two.
Use whichever you like or runs the quickest for you.

Finding what reloading components works for you may take a while, and it may cost a bit more than a production run.

Finding an inexpensive bullet that meets your needs is one of the easiest ways to reduce the cost. Also, any cost reduction by buying on sale or in quantity is the way to go.

But you'll want to feel comfortable with your bulk buys, before you stock your inventory.

Federal is the cheapest at the Walmart near me. 100 round value packs run 29.95 plus Nevada's 8.25% sales tax.
