.44 Mag. Kaboom

    A buddy was telling me about pics. he saw of a S&W 629 that had the top strap completely blown off and three of cylinders blown out, two from secondary discharges from using Chinese ammo. What brand ammo could this have been.

    i know which pics your talking about. the chinese dont export 44magnum ammo. most liekly it was overloaded handloads.

    ive seen those photos also about every six months or so and they will show up again im sure

    Now that I'm starting to reload, I'm noticing a lot of my .44 mag shells are

    belled a little just beyond the head.

    I resized them twice, and they're only just scraping through the dial gauge

    set at .457, book spec.

    I wonder if these cartridges will jam in the bore of my guns, and want to

    show them around to other .44 reloaders before I re-use them...
