    I have a 410 single shot 5410/22lr combo gun.
Can I use a standard pistol round such as a long colt or other ammo in the 410 barrel with IC choke.
I realize without rifling accuracy would be poor

    NO

Sorry- did not mean to shout.

    .45 Colt is .456
    A .410 is .410

Will it blow up shotgun? Maybe. Maybe not. In the word of Dirty Harry- "You have to ask yourself- do you feel lucky? Well.........do ya?"

Guns like the Judge are bored for .45 Colt dimensions, and designed for the pressures. Your shotgun is not.

Given it is a single shot 410 it likely has a 3 1/2" chamber. A 3 1/2" 410 slug packs a wallop. Why would you want to load a 45 long colt in the shotgun? The idea is to go forwards!

    NO!

The normal 410 shotgun is not built for the preasure of the pistol round!'
The reason some pistols like the Judge Pistol and others can shoot the .410 shotgun round is due to the fact the weapon will handle the presure of the pistol round. And the 410 being less causes no problem when fired in them.

As others have stated above no. However, if you can find .22 shorts or longs, you can fire them through the .22 long rifle barrel. That's one advantage to the older bolts and break actions. You cant get a 10\22 to cycle on shorts.

And you probably will have a problem.
I'm not going to try to be nice...
Shooting .44 mags out of a .410 shotgun is STUPID! DANGEROUS!
You can also chamber a .454 Casull in your shotgun. I wouldn't want to be around when you touched it off, though.
If you had any idea what the pressure differences were between the shotgun round and the .44 magnum you MIGHT understand. Somehow I doubt it....

    410 ballistics

Just to put the 410 in perspective at 100 yards the 410 energy approximately equals a 22 mag at 75n yards. Neither are good deer loads. Foot pounds of energy can be miss leading as penetration would probably better with the 22 mag due to frontal area.
