I can't decide what I want to buy I want them both only one permit left sig 1911 or beretta 96
You can only buy one because of a permit limit??
I don't like 40sw at all so 45 would be my choice. Besides nothing beats the 1911 platform, not even a nice Beretta 96.
One question what do you already have in a way of caliber .
Sig 1911 for sure. I've owned a handful of .40s over the years and every one has been sold or traded on something in a different caliber.
30 years ago, in Iowa, you could only conceal carry the gun listed on your license. I asked them to squeeze two on mine, which they begrudgingly did.
I would have to go with the 45 ACP 1911. It is the guiding light of handguns!!
You have a gun listed on your license? Yikes!
Why are you restricted to 'just one'???????????????????
Get a SIG P226 in 9MM. The gun and caliber by which all handguns are judged, worldwide.
The question, "What other calibers do you already have?" is a good one. If limited to only a certain number of weapons, I would suggest also limiting one's caliber choices. So instead of spreading out and having every handgun caliber out there, concentrate on multiple guns in just a few calibers.
I, for one, totally skipped 40S&W. It just isn't for me...
I hate the .40. With a round with that much presser you would expect much better ballistics.
I won't big bullets (.45), a lot of bullets (9mm), or overall powerful bullets (.357sig or 10mm). Anything in between doesn't cut it for me.
I have a 22 and a 9 mm beretta I got one permit left I want to use the next one for competition steel plates so that where the 40 or 45 comes in I like the beretta 96 just wanted a few ideas
Ditto on the sig .45. not a fan of the .40 myself. Also ditto on the WTF is wrong your state and the CCW permits ??! That's some fascist BS right there. No reason for it.
Ware are you from? We are all confused about the permit thing. You say you have one permit left so you can only buy one more gun. Ware do you live that you have to have a permit for every gun you buy?
New Jersey it's a pain the the *** to get permits here
Lame! Sorry to hear it man.
I love my SIG 1911, I have a Nitron. You won't regret it.
I have owned a couple of .40s and have always gotten rid of them to go back to a 9mm , if your shooting comp I would look at 9mm simply because the ammo is so much cheaper and more capacity than the .45 .
One more reason to love Alabama. No permit needed to buy a gun.
