.380 pistols

Does anyone know of a NON-blowback .380 pistol that is the size of the p232 or a little smaller (for example seecamp too small) with known reliability? I feel that these type of handguns would absorb recoil better than a simple blowback, or so I've read...

99% of 380s are blow back operated. It's cheaper to manufacture and there's no need for a stronger mechanism. Good luck in your search tho
There are a lot for sure... I'm just hoping to hear about one that fits the bill. It's just down to recoil. I'm lookin for and I feel/hear that non-blowback are better for it
Whats the problem with blow back. Bersa has a some darn good and low cost blowback 380's and there CC 380 is a smaller version of there thunder line , very easy to shoot very well. DA / SA trigger.

Reliability is so much more about the shooter and ammo with most handguns.

The lastest series of Taurus TCP with a C in the serial number is a really reliable handgun. It is a 10oz pistol with a longer reach to the trigger than many micro pistols makeing it easie to shoot for mid to larg hands . Probably the best trigger of maybe any long pull handgun at 4lbs on my trigger guage. Does not seem to care what ammo is used. And a SS or black SS is under 260 bucks LGS price.

Operation: Trigger cocking DAO; lock breech; "Browning - type" recoil lug; passive striker block; no magazine disconnect
MSRP $419.

If you are religiously anti- on "the Moonies", read up on the company founder's family. I'm OK by that personally.

I agree with hardluk on the Bersa's. I had a Thunder .380 but my sister needed it more. Now i have a Thunder 9 Ultra Carry.
Would you choose a bersa over the p232? Or is it just your preference
I know I am not Canebrake, but have you looked at the
Colt Mustang?

Well, if price is a consideration, the Bersa costs about half as much. If weight is a consideration, Bersa uses an alloy frame to lower weight. If you have young children and might need the integrated lock, the Bersa might be the better choice.

Gotta love that Sig reputation for quality, though.
I owned a .380 Kahr. I never shot it very much. UPS carried it far more than I did. That was the FTF handgun of all times. Kahr never got it right.
I bought a nice Colt Mustang Plus II no problems.:)
Sig P238 380 SA similar to the Colt Mustang.
how do you feel about iwb carry with a safety on the p238? Good holster shouldn't let it get switched of with body movement correct?
Cz83 its a good quality gun noy sure if blowback operated or not but nice concealable gun with a 13 rd mag

The 83 is blow back but it is still a great gun Im on my second 82(original version of the 83 chambered in 9mm MAK). But it is a little big for a .380 pistol.

I second the SIG p238 if you can deal with having a safety. I carry a P938 that is just a hair bigger and is chambered in 9mm. It still has very little recoil.
