What is the difference between the 2, will they interchange? I was at the LGS today and saw the .32 S&W and wondered, they had no .32 H&R and my cupboard is nearly bare of that caliber, so I was curious. I will dig out my reloading books later to do my own research, but I just thought I would throw this out there for now. Thanks

You can shoot .32 S&W in the H&R Mag but not the other way around. The H&R round was developed from a lengthened S&W Long case. Akin to .38 Special and .357 Mag.

    Easy Peasy F4. "E" of course. Picking anything but "E", a person can't say he's self-respecting gun nut! :p:D

Hello out there, as I stated before if not right now,,,I should have never sold my Ruger Single Seven in .327 Fed-Mag. Now I am looking again to find another.

You can shoot 32 ACP in the single action 327's. They wont eject in some double actions. 32 ACP is a semi rimed cartridge.

I say buy the .327. Buy any of the other 32 S&W ammo. Shoot away,,,,but don't shoot any of the COLT 32 ammo. I could get into it now but won't , but the short of it is that the case di-am is smaller with the Colt.

I have two 32 mag revolvers and a 32 mag rifle. They are fun to shoot.

I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but there's 32 S&W & 32 S&W Long. 32 short is about the length of a 32 ACP while the 32 long is closer in length to 32 H&R. Both have basically zero recoil compared to the magnum.

It's a cool little caliber but it's kinda struggling to stay relevant when everybody just goes 38 special or 357.

I really like the ballistics of the newer 32 calibers. Haven't had the opportunity to shoot them, but they are impressive. Definitely calibers to consider for those sensitive to recoil due to various reasons, and they need something to use for SD or carry purposes. Loaded with the correct ammo, I see them as a viable option for those purposes.

32 H&R is comparable in ballistics & recoil to 38 special, it's very pleasant to shoot. My experience with 327 on the other hand is not as favorable, you definatly know there's more oomph behind it in a small gun. But in that regard you have the same benefits as a 357/38: practice with the lower powered rounds & keep the full boogie stuff for carry.
