bought a new 30s yesterday to use as a carry gun , I like 45s just wanted a little more capacity than the compacts I had [ good excuse for a new gun ] the mag says 10 rds on it but if I finally get 10 in the mag it won't go in the gun , 9 is fine , is it a 9 only mag or just to tight right now , and love the gun

Many brand new magazines will not load to full capacity. The spring will "relax" over time and allow full capacity

10+1, 13+1, 15+1, or 17+1 usually refers to the number in the mag + one round in the chamber, not that the mag will take an extra round.

yes I know that , that was my point the gun specs say 10 , not 10+1 but have found out it is a 10 rd mag , just tight ,only loading 9 for now but thanks

Think glock always reccomended loading from the magazine so you would insert mag with the slide locked then load the top round thinking they didn't reccomend replacing that one round in the mag. could be wrong I'm not a glock owner myself and I haven't read the wifes manual all the way myself.

Yes this is critical for auto loading handguns to strip the first round from the mag and not load on into chamber.

I have carried 10+1 in my 30s everyday for over a year now. The fully loaded mag doesn't slip in nice and neat like on other blocks, but it will go. Just use a little more force than normal. ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1451447304.420282.jpg . The 30s is on the far right.
