So I got 100 pieces of 308 brass from PSA and two of the cases have long linear ridges all the way around the case, kinda looks like a candy cane. Just wondering if anyone know what would cause this and if they are safe to load

Would not. Some firearms have a fluted chamber, and you will get lines running top to bottom. However, if they go AROUND the case, may have been fired in a gun with poor headspace- case is stretching. Pics would help.

When in doubt, toss it out.

Sounds like they were fired in an HK/CETME/PTR. Fluted chambers do not harm the brass. I have been reloading HK fired brass for 20 years. ZERO problems
