I think he's saying if he can put a Mk5 sight on his No3 that's been converted to a Jungle Carbine without looking for a Mk3 sight.

When you start w/ Enfields you Have MkIIINo1 and No4Mk1, makes it hard for a newby to keep it strait. The Brits could in no way make it harder. Give the kid a break.

Yes, the rear sight on a No4 will fit on a No5...............If the rear sight is on the receiver they will interchange.

ok let me see if I can clear this up.... I have a No I mk III ishapore lee enfield .303 that has been converted to a No 5 jungle carbine by golden state arms. It is missing the rear sight does anyone know which one I can get to fit. I am thinking since it has been converted the No5 but I want to make sure. And If i can get the site does it usually come with the bolt or whatever you use to secure the sight? I am new to enfields so I have no clue... thanks for the help.

The No I Mk III`s rear sight was on the barrel, the No 4 & 5 the rear sight was on the receiver...............

Right after doing some research I know that now however my barrel has been covered with wood from the conversion. there is a piece open on the reciever where some kind of sight goes but I dont know what to put there. Here is a coupld of pics so you guys can see what I am talking about.

Why in the hell would someone destroy the charger slot that way, I am going to say something you may not like, but that rifle is destroyed, I don`t know how you are going to afix a rear sight to that...............

what do you mean its destroyed? there is a d ring type sight that i think goes there. and that slot is where the stripper clip goes in.

All of the golden state arms guns i can find online are that way  it looks almost like that cutout IS the rear sight, I'm at a loss here, I had never noticed that before.

EDIT: After a little searching, it looks like you need a Santa Fe rear sight. It is similar to a No.4

A No.4 or slightly modified version may work, there is something out there.
I'll upload some close ups of my No4 MkI for you.

Ok, I've done some digging and found your solution, unfortunately I have no idea where to get one.

Here is the sight, it is proprietary to Golden state arms Enfields.

You may actually have to have one made if you can't find one, fortunately it's relatively simple.
