.303 BSA match rifle

    I have a BSA .303 rifle that is stamped with 1946 .303 match rifle along with the barrel weight and the shell length.Anyone ever hear of a BSA match rifle in .303 caliber or have any info?

    Birmingham Small Arms made civilian sporting rifles derived from the SMLE action both before and after WW II (during the war, they made No 4 Mk 1's). Reputation as excellent rifles. These are purpose built rifles, NOT sporterized milsurp.
