I have an opportunity to buy an old model Blackhawk in .30 cal, 7 1/2" barrel in very good condition, for $450. Could use some input as to whether it would be a worthwhile investment. I am a big fan of OM Blackhawks but I don't reload and understand most all .30 cal factory loads are more suited for carbines. I'm not a collector so I look to practical uses for my guns. I guess that's the stick, is it practical?
I don't know if it's practical, but I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun.
$450 seems reasonable just off the top of my head. For someone who enjoys old Blackhawks, this seems like a must-have to me.
