Would like information about a 30-30 this is my first and don't know anything about it
Well let me tell you this... That's a good looking rifle!!! Sorry don't know chit about it but nice purchase.
Looks like a 94 remake.
I have a Win94 Ranger. It is an inexpensive version of the Win94.
Mine shoots like a dream.
Historic Product Model 94, Ranger®
Any info about the 30-30 cal by itself
Like what? Can't give you much for ballistics info without specific bullet weight and powder grain info.
117 years old and still going strong.
Cool. Thanks Bill didn't think of that. Gotta drink more coffee.
What does coffee have to do with any of this
Means he didn't catch that. Was asleep, hence, more coffee lol.
Oh ok I feel dumb now
Has dropped more deer than any other cartridge. Mostly because there are literally millions of them been made by Winchester and Marlin. But they are deadly good in the brush short and fast to target.
Good short range big game cartridge. A little light for elk, although my son killed his first elk with a model 94 .30-30.
With 20 inch barrel, most factory rounds will make 2400 FPS for 150 grainers, and 2200 for 170 grainers.
I consider it a 125 yard maximum cartridge, even with the new Hornady ammo. Some folks say they can stretch it out farther than that, but I personally wouldn't be comfortable doing so.
