Thinking of buying one of these. Would like to know the, "Good & Bad", about this rifle! Thanks!
Good = everything
Bad= you never wanna put it down
What makes the T3 such a hot rifle? I keep hearing so much about them, but why should I buy one? I'm in the market for an inexpensive rifle, but right now, I'm leaning towards a Savage.
well balanced, floated barrel. T3 recoil pad, short bolt throw and super smooth, will put a hole in a hole everytime
oh...and if you wanna savage go to a pawn shop...they usually full of them
The reason I'm leaning towards a Tikka T3, is that I use to own a 30-06 M65 Tikka, and this had to be one the most accurate rifle I had. Unfortunatly, because I have so many rifles I got rid of this one a few years ago because I haven't use it for the last 12 years. Now that the bones and health is older, I'm looking for something lighter to carry in the bush. The truth is I just love hunting, and shooting rifles, always had and probably always will!
Another nice lite gun is a winchester model 70 featherweaight my grandpa has two, one pre 64 in 30-06 and another in 270 they are nice firearms and would be something else to consider if you could find one. The tika is nice but the barrel is much to floated in my opinoin.Although the gun is verry accurate. I know having a barrel that floated would be hard to walk around alot with because I own a savage model 11 and the barrel is floated much like the tika.I also dislike the stock it is european stock and fells funny when you hold it up. I almost bought tika t3 hunter in stainless but instead i decided on a ruger model 77 mark II IN 30-06 its a nice gun but not lite weight.
i dont like the savages a lot because the bolt feels very weird, it goes rotates so high that if you would have a scope cover it might not open!. tikka t3 is alot better and litter too.
Just got one in .338 WinMag. Great rifle and it is as light as a feather
