Three 1/2" shells are over-rated, not needed for sportsman, expensive and create issues like this. But if that's what you want; I'd stick with a Beretta Xtrema II. The gas system with the inertia bolt will work the best with what you're talking about. Beretta says that the 28" will operate the heaviest of magnums down to subsonic 2 3/4" loads. You could get a black synthetic without kickoff for around $1300 new.
