Whats up Guys, I wanted to share this little video I made shooting the Savage 110BA 338 Lapua at a distance of 2707 yards. I was using 300gr Berger bullets traveling at 2740 FPS. This shot required about 35 mils of hold over, with the nightforce NXS I was able to dial 27.5 mils, back the magnification off to 13X and use the bottom of the 5 mil reticle. With a flight time of just over 5 seconds it comes in pounding with 740ft-lbs of energy at 1.54mi away. Let me know if you enjoyed the video, thanks!

If it takes 5 seconds for impact, It should take at least twice that long for the gong sound to return in the your view shot?

In The my view shot you hear my walkie talkie transmitting the sound back to me instantly, I actually heard the ring from the target 13 seconds after trigger pull, but the camera didn't catch it.

This was a great video. I did wonder about hearing the gong 1.54 miles away. The walkie talkie answers all questions I had.

I wish I have the ability to shoot even a 1/4 of that distance accurately. I'd also like to say that even if I had one of the buggers bounce up and smack me in the leg, it'd defiantly be enough to ruin my day for sure.

Bears are better targets, reactive visually and auditorially (for a while anyway); they are also biodegradable.

lol, you know I actually did hear the gong noise roughly 13-14 seconds after trigger pull. Too bad the camera by me didn't pick it up.

Awesome video, as usual! What's next? Shooting the pecker off of a fly?
