I got a hold of a 240. gibbs, bolt action Winchester model 70, pre-64 from my son in law, I know its an odd ball wild cat cartridge, uses a 30-06 crimped case. I am going to give it to my grandson, who is going to the army soon, something to practice with. Problem is I only have about 30 rounds, and the brass left over from when I shot it. I have no Die's for it, nor do I even have a press for rifles at the moment, mine took a header. So I’m looking for a quick fix so my grandson could have some more ammo to shoot. RCBS has all the things I need to purchase & reload them, even the dies, but my grandson leaves august. So if anyone does happen to have some 240. gibbs that they loaded for sale? Just until I get a new press, or things i could use to load them, might be cheaper than direct from RCBS. Just checking here first, might get lucky ;)

I'd just hurry up & get the dies, press, etc to load them with. Color me paranoid but I'd be VERY leery of trusting someone else's loads-especially in a wildcat. If you load them yourself you know EXACTLY what you have and how hot they are. I've seen too many people attempt to get the "extra" fps by loading hot.

My son had the reloading stuff already. Heres a video of it in action if your curious.
