ive been waiting patiently for this. originally i was buying the M240 parts kits piece by piece and the only part that i would be missing was the actual receiver that id have to custom make using sheet metal. now i can just do a few hours of dremel and epoxy putty and get a .22LR bolted on.
should take me about 4-6 hours. its mainly trial and error until the action/barrel drops right in.
things to do:
dremel out the ejection port
drill a hole into the M240 receiver.
run an extended screw through the 795 action
use epoxy putty to bed the front action
fabricate a long extended trigger using a Kydex strip (heat form/dremel)
will take pics tonight of the progress.
just purchase a missing M240 top handguard for $19 to complete the conversion.

-Used an angle grinder to cut out the ejection port area
-Used a power drill to make a hole into the M240 receiver and used an extended screw through the 795 buffer
I'm using an M249 heat shield temporarily. That's why it looks thin on the front. I just bought a used M240 heat shield off gunbroker and waiting for it to be shipped. Should arrive in a week
Things to do:
Another 2 more hours and I should be done
Hook up the 795 trigger linkage to the M240 trigger
Paint the ejection port area and silver screw
Buy some inert 7.62 ammo with linked belt
Test fire
I'd say it'll take about 4 total man hours to complete this build
This thread reminds me of the day 43 years ago yesterday( my birthday) when Dad asked me what I wanted and I said An 81mm mortar and 2 dozen HE rounds....no? How about a bazooka?( needless to say this got me a backhanded slap across my face and a longer wait for the actual present I did get, my first pump shotgun, an 870 bantam 20 Ga....)

i was kidding about the MK19. however i do have some of the Ma Deuce parts kit. im only missing the M2HB receiver. probably have to fabricate that separately.
