Hey guys, I ordered a drop-in conversion kit for my recently built ar. I was wondering if I should put a certain amount of .223 rounds through it before I start messing around with the .22 conversion? Right now, I've only put about 50 .223 through it. It has a rainier arms select 16" SS polygonal 1x8 barrel. Thanks for your help.

I run a cmmg kit in my bushmaster carbine, 22 is a dirty round so I run my 22 through it and when I'm done I switch over to the 223 and use it to blow/clean out the gas system, works perfect for me AMD I used my kit when my gun was brand new, used it before I even ran a mag of 223 through it. Whether its the right or wrong way it has been working for me thus far!

I Hear that, I am shooting my ballistic tips for coyote hunting but saving my plinking ammo, at least until it shows Signs of being available again!
