What is a great .22 pistol that is reliable, accurate, and doesn't look or handle like crap?
Ruger or a gud 1911 clone............
If you want the best, look for an older High Standard Victor or Supermatic Trophy. Also a S&W Model 41 would be a good second choice.
The S&W 41, High Standard Supermatic types, Browning Buckmark, and Ruger Mark I, II, or III.
The Ruger Mark III is a good quality pistol. It is fun to shoot and excellent for training your family and friends how to shoot a handgun.
If you can find one, the Colt Woodsman.
Older Hi-Standard made in Connecticut simply the best
Ruger Mark I, II, or III are all excellent. They are very accurate and work very well - if you are meaning a semi-auto.
Revolver... Ruger again makes very reliable accurate guns.
See the thread about what 22's you should not buy... The guys name some real dogs in that thread.
I always liked the colt challenger, and the ruger mark series.
