.22 conversion and hammer springs

I have a question I'm hoping someone here can answer. I am considering picking up a .22 conversion kit for my 9mm P226, but I have one concern: I am currently using a reduced-weight hammer spring (19 pounds instead of the factory 21 pounds) because it makes the trigger so much nicer for informal target/competition shooting.

Does anyone know if my 19 pound hammer spring will be adequate for rimfire shooting? I really like the idea that all I have to do is swap slides and mags to use the same pistol for, say, rimfire plates games, but if I have to swap hammer springs as well, that's probably a deal-breaker.

Well this doesn't really answer your question but when I was looking at this option for my p226 I decided that it was more cost effective to just buy a .22 (and not that I was looking for an excuse to buy another gun)...
