I just received my 22 kit from beretta the other day and went to the range with it. First pull of the trigger. Nothing. Field stripped it put it back together. Then it fired. Phew. I was shooting the federal hp bulk box. 550 count. 36 gr. and I had probably about 4 misfires and 2 FTE. Didn't bother me too much. But just wondering if it was the ammo or the kit. What is some good target 22 ammo to use with these kits. If anyone knows. I shot probably about 400 rounds through it also. It was fun considering I only paid 16 dollars for the box. So glad I bought it.

Oh yeah. I checked the website the day after I bought it and they were sold out immediately. Good thing I got it when I did.

I've had good luck with bulk Winchester 555. CCI mini mags are good too, but cost more.

I've had excellent luck with Federal Auto Match. They come in a 325 round bulk pack for about $14. According to Federal, they are made specifically for semi-automatics, and I have yet to find one they won't function in, including some guns that traditionally only work with CCI Mini Mags.

My PPK/s does not like the Fed bulk pack.
Check the manual if a high velocity round should be used. Some manuals have a warning about using Stingers.

Stingers are considered "hyper" velocity. Most semi-autos require a "high" velocity cartridge to properly cycle the action, but a "hyper" velocity round can be damaging to them over time.
