Dr. James Jude, one of the experts credited with pioneering life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation, has died. No word on whether they tried to use CPR ...

Red Lane, a country music songwriter who wrote the Tammy Wynette hit "'Til I Get It Right," has died of cancer, according to multiple news sources. He was 76.

Donald Stratton was a U.S. Navy veteran who survived the attack on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor in a daring escape from a burning ship. One of the last to escape the USS Arizona as it became engulfed in flames, Stratton was saved by a sailor on a nearby ship who threw a line for him to grab. In later years, Stratton worked to learn the identity of the sailor who helped — Joe George — and lobbied for George to receive the Bronze Star that was posthumously awarded to him in 2017. With Stratton’s death, only two survivors of the USS Arizona remain.

"Mad" Mike Hughes, 64, a flat earther died yesterday in the California desert trying to prove the theory in his homemade steam powered rocket.
    ap-17324142065466.jpg
He was attempting to reach 5000' to take photos of the lack of curvature of the earth. Something he could have done in rented Cessna but, oh well.
Things went pear shaped almost immediately. You can see that his parachute deployed just after liftoff, putting drag on the rocket. One news source said that he was ejected and fell to his death.

While Mr. Hughes didn't get a chance to prove that the earth really is a frisbee, he certainly proved that gravity still works!

    Hossein Sheikholeslam, 68 Iranian "diplomat".

    Coronavirus statistic.
Sheikholeslam was one of the leaders who took 9ver the US embassy in Tehran in 1979 after receiving his education at U C Berkeley on the Shah's dime.
He is, I believe, about the sixth leader of that glorious regime to succumb to the virus.

Except for Brian, remember Brian Jones one of the band's original members and I think the founder? He was so messed up they kicked him out of the band.

Brian Jones died in his swimming pool which is a subject of suspicion according to some.
This was of course after he was sacked from the band for excessive drug and alcohol abuse.

Then of course back in the '60's a lot of big name bands were also tripping the light fantastic as well soooooo.............................:D
