Barry Nelson! I could picture his face but couldn't remember his name.

Twilight Zone! That's where I remember him from. Episode: Stopover in A Quiet Town.
    And what's My Line.

That one hurt. I was actually in the Caribbean on a pleasure cruise when Dr No came out and with other passengers I saw it in the ship's small theater. I have to admit, I think my love of guns and tanks the spook world and nuclear stuff started with that movie. I loved that Caribbean in those long ago days. Aruba & Jamaica with almost empty beaches and no big hotels at the shoreline. Ocean water you could see through. Haiti when it was safe. All different now, I think they call it progress. I never did actually buy a PPK though. I remember walking into Interarms Alexandria store back in the 70s and really debating buying one for about an hour. I was torn between the regular ones, the silver engraved ones or the gold engraved ones. Dash it all, they were all too expensive. Some of his Silver Cups intrigued me too. Especially the one with the North American Arms slide and a W prefix serial number. LoL, if I could have only seen the future. How much could I get today for one of those silver or gold engraved ones new in box? That would have been some really smart long term purchases.
Thank you Mr. Connery for your influence on me.

80 years old. Jeopardy is my all time favorite show, something I try to take time out for daily.

Norm Crosby, he should have had more fanfare for a very long and entertaining career.

Paul Hornung football's "Golden Boy" has passed away at 84. Heisman Trophy winner at Notre Dame, Vince Lombardi called Hornung the best football player I ever coached.

Walter E. Williams, a true genius. Author, professor, economist, radio personality, at 84. The collective I.Q. of the world just took a significant drop.

    R.I.P. sir.

I read his biography, he was not chosen to be an astronaut, because he did not have the right education.

But, he was the right guy to break the sound barrier, because he had the guts.
