Ford unveiled the next Mustang today. It will be going on sale fall of 2014.

I was hoping for something a little more radical, but all in all it looks pretty darn good.

This is the one I really want to test drive.

Meh. Of course I'm not a Ford fan, and hated my Mustang (first car) because of the constant need for work. Should have been a Ferarri for all of the garage time and lack of road time.

Well it may be a Supercar but that front clip is looking pretty Volvoish.
A little too Eurotrash for me.
The side shots looking very Volvo too.
I liked the aggressive look of the latest Mustangs but I think Ford's stretching this one.

I think your right. The convertible looks a bit like a Jaguar.

When you start designing for aerodynamic drag, they all start to look the same.

It looks a little bit '70s 240Zish to me.

I am not a coupe kind of guy, more of a truck/Jeep man. Having said that, I like the looks of the new Stang & I think they'll gain a larger following with the new 4 cylinder Ecoboost (turbo) engine pushing 300 HP & getting 30 mph highway.

    Don't worry, the 5 l. V-8 is still available.

I wonder if they're sticking with the previous Chinese tranny?

I don't care for the looks. I'd take one of these over that any day.

It looks like the bastard child of a couple of different cars, none being a Mustang. I like to be able to see a new model and instantly be able to tell what model it is based on the styling. This does not do it for me. For some reason the front clip makes me think Dodge.

Yanno what I would like to see Ford do? A new Cobra like they did with the GT40. Engineer it to current technology, but stay absolutely true to the original styling. Not that I could afford one in my lifetime, but there are so many things that they could do with it (like they did with the GT40).

The rear end looks very much like a modernized late 60's fastback.

Anybody else think this looks more like a two door Fusion than a Mustang?

Ford appears to be doing a similar treatment to all their cars. I like it.

From what I read the tranny is updated.
The current ones are far better then the early ones but at the end if the day they are still junk.. The autos are consistently faster down the 1/4

And they've designed a new rear independent suspension. I hope this will help cure my biggest complaint about the Mustang, handling.
