As of today, I have run 200 miles this school year. Just wanted to share.
Congratulations. Did you only make left turns?
That's outstanding! Nice work!
since I've been discharged, I've only run when something was chasing me. I haven't been chased...
Congrats, thats quite a few miles.
If God had meant for me to run, he would never have created Mechanized Infantry.
Used to tease my old boss that marathoner was an indian word that meant "No owns car" - but seriously, congrats- what are your running? 880, milers?
One trip around a typical american track is 440 yds and is 1/4 of a mile.
Or...is your running done in formation, along a already proven known distance?
on your effort.
Something to be proud of. I remember
running 6 miles a day while fasting on water
for ten days. Felt like a million bucks!
Thanks for reminding me of what I can't do anymore!
I used to warm up with distances I now consider to be a complete workout. I'm only 31! I need to just run more, I always tell myself I will but then come up with excuses like it's to hot, it's to cold, I have to much beer in my fridge and need to clear out some space, etc.
I ran an 18 minute 3 mile PFT.... ONCE. I never ran it slower than 20 minutes. I've always had a little trouble with my left knee, but when I tried to run a few weeks ago I just couldn't do it and the next day both ankles, knees, hips and back were all hurting so bad I could barely get out of bed. Part of this is due to my body just not being used to the impact anymore, some of it is because I'm carrying more weight, 170 when I was 18, 225-230 now.
I'm only 26, I turn 27 in a few days. I should still be in my prime, but I look, feel and drive like an old geezer. Had a bartender guess my age at 43 when I was 22. And when I drive the wife's Caddy on the interstate, I go 71... in a 70 zone.
That's a lot of miles, how many are you predicting by year's end?
1000 is the goal.
Edit: 1000 total. 600 for the school year.
Oh, I'm tracking. I was in track and field, so I think of it in meters. Nah, There's a 4.5 mile trail loop that I like, and then a 1 mile loop around campus to make up the change. And I only run in formation for Raiders, which is being recorded separately and I'll put it down with the rest of my miles at the end.
