Wife and daughter both won units at a firearms banquet. Wife's is "modified" with about $700 in upgrades.

Anything special I need to know about these firearms in terms of cleaning and taking care of them? Wife's firearms are known to magically clean, she says it's dirty, and next thing she knows, it's clean. Daughter will learn how to care for her first firearm, but I have to teach her.

The operators manual is where you need to start.

I would NOT let them touch those guns without PROPER TRAINING FIRST...!

nothing special cleaning wise. Strip them down and take off any factory packing grease or oil. Lube with proper lubricant, and operate as any other striker fired pistol. you do want to avoid putting oil in the striker channel so the striker is not becoming a hydraulic piston.

I swear the manual was written by a computer manual writer...

We have possession of our daughters guns, she will go with us until she gets comfortable... WRT wife, the only reason she's not an NRA instructor, her health issues are preventing her from physically passing the exam.
