Has anyone heard of this. I keep seeing it on another message board. The thing is this. In optics you only need 1x per 100 yards. So to shoot 300 to 900 yards a 3-9x scope is all you need. I am sure you can do it but why limit yourself so such a low powered scope. So by that thinking I should be shooting 600 to 2400 yards with my 6-24x scope. Who came up with this? I have looked at targets at 1k with a 9x scope the corsshairs covered the entire target. Even with a 6-24x the crosshairs are HUGE on a 1k target. If you look are Night Force scope and some of their reticles for long range shooting they are very thin and very basic. two lines and a dot on one i like the looks of the most.
