Finally got to the range today to shoot my new Rock River Entry Tactical (darn job/family cutting into my range time!) 220 rounds with no issues at all. Here's the breakdown:
50 rounds Hornady Steel Match .223
    20 rounds American Eagle .223
70 rounds Tula .223 steel case
    60 rounds Federal XM193 5.56
20 rounds mixed Tula .223 and Federal 5.56 in the same mag
Used 2 new p-mags, 2 surplus p-mags and the factory aluminum mag

Here's the best group (50 yards) with iron sights. I'm happy with it considering it's been 20 years since I last shot with irons.

The scope is a cheap Barska. It actually performed well. Only used Tula with the scope. Best group at 100 yards was 2". I'm sure the rifle will beat RRAs 1 1/2" guarantee for the chrome lined barrel. No pics, phone battery died.

Needless to say I'm pretty happy with the gun. Taking my 11 year old son (shooting his 10/22) to the range with me only made the day better!

Congrats on the good day. I bet your son enjoyed being with his dad shooting as well.

I took my 4 y/o (3 then) out w/ me once and out of all the range trips that is far the most memorable. Sounds like you had a great time as well.

Nothing beats the fun of passing your love of shooting on to the kid!
