C3 compact is HIGH on my list....in the 2-tone. I have yet to read one bad criticism about them....and lets face it Sig doesnt make crap.

I own a full sized stainless GSR 1911 with a rail and absolutely in love with it. Bought 3 Wilson Combat mags and put their new cocabolo sunburst grips on it....its a true work of art and shoots like butter. Read the same about the C3....a pure joy to shoot

I really can't decide between the two previously stated sigs and the Stainless Pro Raptor ii by Kimber....

Ive shot a CDPII and Raptor by Kimber.
They are nice, just a bit overpriced in my opinion. If I recall, both Kimber models are right up at the $1k mark. The compact C3 runs around $800 and although Ive never shot one....would take that over the Kimber. I vote for the C3.....gorgeous gun!

From my research the II Models from kimber are got or miss in terms of QC. Add that to the company's 1 year warranty and it was enough of a reason to NOT consider Kimber. I ended up with a SIG 1911 Nitron TacPac and I couldn't be happier. Great quality especially for the price and it came with 3 SS magazines that work flawlessly. This is my 1st 1911 and my 2nd SIG. It's a Double whammy; a SIG 1911.

I've heard nothing but good about anything made by sig. I can't wait to get my hands on one

Go with the Kimber SS Pro Raptor II. I am picking up mine this week.

You'll love it. Everyone on here kept bashing Kimber. I couldn't be happier with mine.
