What manufactures of 1911s offer dual thumb safeties, one on each side?
These days most all of them offer a model or two with an ambi-safety.
My Springer Loaded has one - several Springer models do.
Many Kimbers do.
If you get a Wilson, NH, Baer or Ed Brown - you can order any of theirs with or w/o one
There also should be a few Colt models that offer them.
What Bart said. I take the dang things off my guns.
There are aftermarket parts that can change from one sided to two sided, or vice-versa.
My Citadel came with both. One of the reasons they are popular is because often competitions require you to shoot weak handed. That is one of the best things that has happened to us lefties.
Two things you need to know.
How to shoot left handed.
How to undo a bra left handed.
Vice versa if your a southpaw.
Most makers offer models with ambidextrous safeties.
If for some reason you can't get what you want with an ambi safety, find a decent gunsmith and have it added. It's not really that in-depth of an upgrade.
+1. You may need to swap out or modify your grip to accommodate the grip on the right side.
