I just picked up my new Dan Wesson and it comes with a rear adjustable sight and a black front sight. I'am really not a fan of the black on black sights.

Anybody have a recommendation on new target sights? Thanks!

Your favorite color of bright fingernail polish on the front sight.

I'd rather not use finger nail polish and hoping to find a great front sight to replace it.

check out MidwayUSA or Brownell's. they both list bunches of different sights for the 1911. all you have to do is figure out what type of mounting they used on the slide.

Cool thanks! I'll take a pic and post it. This is my first 1911 so if someone could tell me what kind of mount it is that would be great :D

I would leave the rear sight as is, only change the front out for a fiber optic.

That sounds about what I want. Here's a pic of the front sight.

that's a dovetail type cut in the slide. not for sure which one as there are a couple of different ones.

you might contact Dan Wesson's customer service department and see if they can tell you which type of dovetail cut they used on your pistol, then you would know which front ight to order for yours.

Brownell's and MidwayUSA both will list the size specs for the sights in their catalogs.

Learned a new trick today, fishing jig coating. Fluorescent, made to bounce off rocks and such on lake bottoms. Picked up a bottle of chartreuse green this morning.
