I have heard different options on this handgun. I purchased one and found it to be very accurate. I was just wondering what everyone else thought about this 1911.

I agree on the RIA, I carry an officers model. Find it to be heavy but accurate. A pleasure to shoot and not a worry to scratch up.

Thank you I been reading a lot of the threads on here and I'm always talking firearms so I thought this would be great place to do so. Where is the introduction area? And I have the matte nickel G.I. Model. I'm very pleased with it. This was my first 1911 and I now know why people get hooked on this model.

My personal experience is if you get one that has problems, look out!

The three most common causes of failures for any pistol seems to be magazines, ammo or the shooter, not necessarily in that order. If changing those three things don't fix it, look out!

If you got a good one without any issues, you are good to go!

I really love the platform as well. Look around and you will see quite amazing 1911 models, and learn a great deal on them.

I shot mine for the first time a week ago put about two hundred rounds through it with our a single jam. Thank you I will stop by the introduction part. I'm more of a revolver guy tho I have owned many semi autos but I absolutly love the the 1911.

Some people say that " Rock Island is a good gun for the money" which is true BUT the its safe to say that they are just a damn good gun all together. I own a High Standard which is also made by Armscor, ive got almost 2k rounds through it with "zero" malfunctions and "zero" problems. Even some of the high end $1k+ 1911s cant say that. Best $500 that ive ever spunt

I have the full size model as well as the compact size officer model. Love them both.

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with a RI. Time and time again you'll find owners that are overly pleased with this "low end" 1911 brand. And those that did have issues, saw how top notch the Armscor customer service is.
