my local bass pro has a reproduction for 299.99 good deal? because there was an older one looks like it was used because the bluing was mostly gone and was located in the black powder section for 599.99. and the reproduction was in with the smokeless cartridge wheel guns. it is a 45 LC with a 6.5 inch barrel. deal or bad deal?

I've held some of the Uberti replicas before and the first one you mentioned I was not to overly impressed with. It did not handle all the well for me, because everything was very stiff and rough. However, the other versions felt much better and I would be tempted to buy one if I had the money.

I've mostly had good luck with Ubertis in my CAS shooting days -
$300 for a new one is fair these days -

If collecting, get the one in the black powder section.

If shooting, go with the Uberti.
