I came across some 180gr xtp bullets in .357 cal. I cannot find any load data for this bullet with 2400 powder. Have any of you used this combination? If so, what source do you use for your load data?

might try the powder makers website as they will put loads on there that haven't made it into a reloading manual yet.

12 to 13.5 gr of 2400 will do nicely

Hornady 4th edition reloading manual it states 22.1gr of 2400 as being a max load with a 180gr bullet.

I have loaded that bullet with PowerPro 300-MP. I thought 17.0g was too punishing but found 16.0g to be pretty awesome in my 5" GP100. That was when I ordered and installed the Hogue Tamer grip. Good call.

This is why I get data from trusted published manuals or the manufacturers website. I would never take someone's word for it when personal injury or death could be the consequence.

That's why I was asking for a source rather than actual load data. I am going to be shooting these out of a marlin 1894
