I recently acquired an 1808 Jenks Flintlock, unconverted , all original, and in great condition. I wish to know if there is anyone who is familiar them.
I wish to eventually shoot it. Any advice will be appreciated.

1808 Jinks flint lock? The only Jinks that was a production rifle was the Remington Mule Ear. It was cap & ball. Need a picture of your flinter. This is the 1845 Jinks Carbine Cap lock.

My Jenks is a model 1808 and was manufactured in 1813 for the US Gov't due to the shortage of arms in the war of 1812. It was made in Rhode island.
Thanks. Tom
