Hello, I have a question about the fingerprint cards that you have to send in with your ffl application. I started to apply for my ffl in Dec. 09 and was fingerprinted then I ran into zoning problems but now everything is worked out with that would it be okay to use the same fingerprint cards or should I have new ones made?

I have lots of questions. If anyone responds check back often as I will probably have another question.

I hope you have sorted this out in the last two weeks. Having just gone through this I know the ATF likes everything nice and new I would say get new ones.

as a old black gun store owner aft not your friend..but if you want to sell guns you gotta live with them..as id get new field agents into my shop id asked them often if they was the 20% of atf workers that liked guns or the 80% trying to do away with them? they found out fast i was not imtimanated lol...where next id walk them over to a pratice tank mine i painted marine corp green with "guess your weight" in yellow on it..lol...

a common thought among atf agents is if you sell those nasty black guns like i did you was doing bad things to them....wrong as i told them often.."if i was one of the jerks you busted would of rolled over on me long ago"
to save there sorry butts...im so happy im just a plain old fart now and pay others a few $ for my guns..no bs or headaches

Depends on your state. Texas does not even allow fingerprint cards anymore. They have to be submitted electronically now.

Your fingerprints arent going to change. I would send it that way. The worst they would do is make you redo the fingerprints.

Sounds like someone who's never dealt with the ATF.

OP, leave nothing to question. Send new prints. Or, call them and ask.

Get new. IIRC, there is a date on the card.

If you send in the old card, you will just be frustrated by the delay when they reject them. Get the new card and save time on getting your license.
