I have used and like the Fiocchi LE 2 3/4, 00buck Reduced Recoil. It is cheaper than some other brands and does not kick as bad in the Mossy pistol grip that I bought the wife for Home Defence
A properly loaded Buck & Ball load is good for some purposes. Home defense - inside the house - isn't one of those uses. Plain ol' Buckshot will serve you better.
It's definitely different... the price is good, approx. .24 a round. You'd probably do just as well with plain ol' "00" buck. If you are looking to blast something to Oblivion, use "00" 3" Magnums.
