Cheap as in price?

boyds are pretty good for the price. a few members of my range have them for their kids 22s

I got a butler creek composite several years ago to minic my Savage 110. The stocks are nearly identical in size & weight.

This is the stock that my 10/22 came factory with. Its tough, has a good fit, no barrel band, and has plenty of rails if you decide you need them. I like the fact that the buttstock is collapsable and can be adjusted to fit the shooter like an adult wearing a coat or a kid learning to shoot. Mine gets shot by 250lb men and 10yr old nephews.http://www.cabelas.com/10-22-access...ferralID=8e67733e-4876-11e2-8751-001b2166c2c0

I have my stock on order right now from http://www.rifle-stocks.com/
They are not as cheap, but look a little nicer. It takes 4-6 weeks to make. If i was to go a cheaper more durable route, I would go with this.

It's ambidextrous so all your buddies can shoot it also.
I like the first one. Nice choice but that doesnt really look like a ''beater'' stock to me. Enjoy.
