With the slide locked back, it is almost impossible to push the release catch back to get it out. The latch overlap looks like it could be ground back to make it easier.
One clip comes out good so I think the edge of the back of the clip is burred enough to keep the clip latch from moving back.
Guess I will try and smooth it up.
I took catch pin and the next one up out with the hammer cocked. Cut one coil off the spring. Part 5 is too low to get back in.
How do I unlcolck it so maybe the upper pin will line up? The bottom of no 5 where the pin goes through is bent sideways. Is it supposed to be that way? If not how does it come out?
Only the hammer needed to come out.
The mainspring housing had to be preyed out. It got Emery treatment and grease to move more freely. I see how it works now. Just hope the hammerstrut finds its spot.
I am going to need help putting the pin through since the housing moves too easy now. Wondering why they didn't put a pin in back of the housing to keep it straight.
Trying to keep the mag catch spring in during all this might be a problem unless its pin can go in anytime after the housing is pinned.
I don’t know much about this firearm- but generally it can be difficult to insert the main spring housing with the hammer back. I’d need to know more about the situation
There is someone on pistolsmiths forum who said they use jigs or something to put it back together. The hammer should be in the unlocked position.
