Anybody want some of this stuff? Normally, around this time of year I'm sittin' at my bench blasting away. But, thanks to Al Gore and his "global warming" malarkey, this is what we still have, one-third of the way into April.

We certainly do not have anything like this. Beautiful but don't want any!
In Tennessee our weather does not know what it wants to do. A few days with a skiff of snow maybe 1/2 inch gone in hours but the temperature is playing games this year. Last week started with cold weather with nights 28-34 Days cold and some frost. Then jumped to one day of almost 79 the next 70 the next 65 and then the bottom fell out again in the nights being 28-34 range and another frost once again. I was scared the frost was going to kill what buds were on the trees. The Red Buds are blooming the daffodils have already bloomed and lost their flowers. But only this week the trees are starting to Bud Out Good!
Last year at this time the trees were full of fresh green leaves! We are bout three weeks behind the norm this year as I call it. I hope yours disappears soon so you can get some good trigger time! Looks like you are for sure in the North! Good Luck!

Well, thanks for the wishes. Normally, this time of year the trillium's are out all over the woods floor. If they're out now, I hope they have boots and snow-pants on.
The wife said she saw a robin the other day, but I'll bet it was just a sparrow with a severely chapped chest.

Yes the Robins were down here about a month ago for the first time. We had some fairly warm weather at the time for that time of the year. I thought Spring was just around the corner! WRONG! But they seemed to catch a fast Bus to somewhere warmer! I have not seen one for many weeks now. But this weekend it is once again supposed to get up around 70 for a few days and as it has, once again take a plunge again next week. I am afraid it is going to bypass Spring and when it does warm up jump strait in to hot weather?
By the way the fishing on the lake has been terrible as well. Probably due to all the fronts coming through every two or three days. Maybe it will soon get better! I Hope!

That is why scientist don't call it global warming. That is a conservative, "head in the sand" kinda thing.

Climate change is what it suggests. It can cause it to be hot when it should be cold, cold when it should be hot, wet when it should be dry, it can cause sea level rise, heck, it could even open the Northwest Passage that our ancestors dreamed about. It is real, it is happening whether you want to believe it or not. The big polluters have convinced you that it is a liberal lie and you have bit; hook, line and sinker.

When all of the independent scientist agree that man made climate change is real, and the politicians and big corporations disagree it should give you pause.

Political or Conspiracy type post.

We will accelerate it if we ignore the warning signs. We have the ability to make it better or worse. It doesn't matter a bit to me, I will be dead and gone when the oceans overtake the coastal cities where the mass of the population lives. Guess how much it will cost to move Miami to a higher location.

Climate change started the day the earth was formed. But man has nothing to do with it. Unless you want to take control of the energy sector, then it's mans fault! ;) And REAL science proves it. But you won't hear the truth becasue the real truth would stop the powerful/corrupt people in the world.

Yup! So true. Climate changes with each season, it's downright hilarious to even suggest humans can fix or change anything. Maybe we could try some huge corks to keep cows from farting and stop methane gas from permeating the atmosphere...............course, then the cows eyeballs might pop out and hit a school bus.

Man...SGW: see what you started???:D

We'll get through this. Hopefully the skeeters and ticks take a hit.

Probably not, but one can hope...:)
Yah! I read yah. GLOBAL WARMING hasn't shown up yet this spring ( season ) around here, as most can see. The "nitwit" who claims to have invented the inter-web, Al Gore, doesn't realize how folks like me would just LOVE to have palm trees in my yard up here and real live flamingos on the lake. Wonder what those pink suckers taste like? Probably the same as eagles.

Climate change is a fact. It has been going on for billions of years. About 50 years ago the National Weather service issued a statement that we were leaving a relatively calm weather cycle and were entering a more active weather cycle. We would have higher highs and lower lows and more violent storms. This was before they got politicized. That said I do believe pollution should be minimized at least for heath reasons if not the weather and it is one of the reasons I live on the Arizona desert. I drive smaller cars and have 50KW of solar. We walk a lot and paddle kayaks instead of running power boats. We are over populated and more people means more pollution. I look at the once clear lake and see too many nutrients (treated waste water) being dumped by increased population up river causing algae blooms. This country can not mitigate pollution on its own and most of the world is not doing anything besides talking. At Rio the boat racers had to contend with sewage. In China the accelerated death rate from pollution is staggering. I am a conservative and I see pollution as a problem not the political football the liberals have turned it into. There is nothing scientific in politics. All aspects should be open to exploration and scientists with a different view should not be ostracized. Too many have sold their souls to get grants.

I wish global warming would hurry up, i`m tired of the home heating bills dang it!
Al Gore who...???? Ohhhhhhhhhh, THAT POS schmuck.
Yeah he makes millions off his believers & followers.

Yah! And the carbon footprint Albert presents is outrageous. His believers and followers, sure. Charles Manson had a few of those also.

The past 2 days it hit 100f which set records. Today we will be back to more normal temperatures of mid 70's to low 80's but with high wind warnings. It is hard to find 2 weather reports that match. W normally get in the 100 range in May.
The biggest climate problem is not so much the man made carbon emissions but the deforestation and burgeoning cities. As the song goes they paved over paradise. We have cut the planets ability to handle the carbon emissions and messed up the natural balance. Cutting carbon emissions is a band-aid and will not be easily accomplished. We need more vegetation. The cities need to be greened.

I would rather have been sitting there in the snow shooting than where I was yesterday, which was at the doctors office having my eye ball poked & prodded !...........

Two quick points. Climate change and pollution are TWO totally different subjects as CARBON IS NOT A POLLUTANT! And two, I went head over heals into this subject about 4 years ago and the science, using THEIR OWN numbers, proved them wrong and that they were perpetrating a hoax on ALL of us!:(
DID you know: There are more 'green house gasses' (CH4, CO2) released by one summer of forest fires in AK than ALL of the human race in a year? ;) And all the real science proves that we have 'reached the point of no return', which shows that, regardless of how we got here, we humans can not STOP or slow down the rise in temp even if we all stopped breathing to day. ;) Just a few fact that you will not ever hear becasue they control the narrative.:(

Man contributes less than 3% of carbon emissions. What you dont hear is the core temp has risen and man has nothing to do with that. With the staggering increases in population and the structures necessary to house them along with maintaining arable land I foresee a very bleak future. Individual homes like most of have or aspire to will disappear. Best you might hope for is a condo in a huge complex that is self sustaining. Personal transportation will go away and where would you be able to go? Birth rates here were pretty balanced until people immigrating and having large families changed the demographics. There are places in Europe that dont have a high enough birthrate to maintain the welfare system which is one of the reasons they welcomed the emigres.

spring has definitely sprung here in East Texas! we had a little cold snap the other day for a couple of days. only got to the upper 50's for high and in the mid 40's for a low. but we are back to the lower 70's for our highs now, and lots of sunshine and blue skies.

Dudes, I dissent ion this one. The global warming or whatever you call it is not about every day of your life getting warmer. Or less snowfall in April. It is about the summers getting hotter. And as a consequence the shrinking of the polar ice cap. We've had this discussion before. And I still regret that conservatives ceded conservation to the loons on the left.

Don't want any, thank you very much. We had it already and it lasted about 4 hours which is more than enough for me.:D:D:D
