I do like a good revolver.
Its function n feel over brand name.

My selection of revolvers is influnced by where I live, and what I can lay my hands on to try it out.
Ive shot more large frame Rugers than I did S&W or Colt.
Does that make Rugers better?
They do their job rather well for less $$ than $&W and Colt.
As for rimfire revolvers.
Ive shot more High Standard and Ruger than other brands of revolvers.
Right now I like my Taurus 941.
Why?
It just happened to be what they were selling here at the time.

I cant say Im loyal to any one brand, If I buy a product and it performs as good or better than expected, I think I got a hell of a deal.

I was wondering why the Heritage Rough Rider & Charter Arms were not invited to the Poll?

Heritage makes a .45

Which High Standard Rex? I had a High Standard "Sentinel" with a 6" barrel many years ago. It was my first revolver, in fact my first handgun of any kind. Unfortunately, I sold it for reasons I can't remember. Of all of the guns I've sold over the years, that High Standard "Sentinel" was one of the few I regret selling.

My first rimfire revolver was a decent used dual cylinder F.I.E. Buffalo Scout.
My first High Standard revolver was a brand new in 1989 from the OTZ Alaska Commercial Company.
6" High Standard Camp Gun .22 Lr.
I sold it when it started spitting lead.
Today I have a 3" Sentinel IV .22 mag, Id gotten as a ziploc bag of parts with a
busted trigger guard.
I managed to get one from Numrich but it was not black anodized but glossy chrome I guess?
Its old but still one of my favorite (Im not gonna hurt it revolver's)
The Taurus has a vastly better double action trigger, yet not as easy packing as the fixed sight Sentinel.
Bottom is what the 6" camp gun looked like.

I have an Uberti imported by CAI that came in a Cimarron box, Traditons stamped on the barrel and a user manual from Pietta! I think the RIA distributor sold them to the Zastava guy... They were shipped from the Phillipines to Serbia so the Italians could easily stop by and inspect them and say they made them.

Just kidding... Hard to determine who's making what these days.

I gotta say the same about Colts in my experience. Ever so often I go to my Grandma's house and maintain the guns my Grandpa left when he died. There are two nickeled Colt Pythons he bought new in the 70s and one he never shot. When I was handling the one he shot, I put my thumb on the hammer spur and tried both the da and sa pulls. I used to think the trigger was good, but after shooting my 28 for a while it seemed like the Python's trigger wasn't great at all. And to think how many Smiths I could buy with Python money.
