Bought a 'poor man's Tristar' today at my favorite LGS for $360

Shooting clays tomorrow and will post range report and actual picks of my shotgun... This one below is a stock pic

This Turkish made 28" barrel, 2 3/4 chamber has tang safety with barrel selector and a fiber front sight

Comes up nice, nicely balanced... and came with 5 chokes

The manual will make you laugh... broken English, poor grammar... But the fit/finish of the shotgun is surprisingly pleasing and the Turkish walnut stock is great looking. Hope she shoots well.

I've been shooting trap wth my circa 1961 Winchester Model 12 featherweight pump with imp cylinder... And sometimes my CBC (Brazilian made, sold in Kmart) full choke break-open 20 gauge

This will be a nice change

I have only used Ruger customer service once. It was a MKII. After a range trip when cleaning, i found a mark on the reciever where the barrel screwed in. Was it a scratch or a crack? I could not tell.

Called Ruger, sent the CS rep a picture, and he immediately sent me a return label. Two days later I got a call. It went about like this:

It's not a crack, just a scratch. But the pistol is worn. Does it have any sentimental value?

No

Would you like us to refinish it for You?

How much?

No charge.

Sure.

The CS rep then told me they would buff out the scratch, then re-blue it.

A week later I had it back. It looked brand new. Not only was it refinished, but most of the internals had been replaced as well. It came with a copy of the work order with a description of the work. They had rebuilt my pistol that was fully functional because it was beginning to show wear. They also sent test fire documentation.

I bought the pistol new. It was over 30 years old when theh got it back. Im happy!

Looks like a nice shotgun, may have to check one of those myself. Also the price sounds great.
